In this EFL Lesson students are encouraged to critically think about what they see online and if it is ‘real’.
Based on a BBC ideas short video called ‘can you spot digital lies?’ they discuss the issue of fake news, practice vocabulary on the topic and listen for specific information. They are also given the opportunity to discuss their reactions to the video and reflect upon their learning. An additional group project is included as an extra task.
