Hi, I’m Bethan. On my birthday this year (04.03.23) I decided to start a one-year project.
What is that project? Get more serious about materials writing.
Why? Because I’ve always wanted to. I’ve always enjoyed creating my own materials and, as a teacher, I appreciate good-quality materials with clear teacher’s notes that I can easily pick up and use, so that’s what I aim to write for you. Long-term I’d like to work both as an EFL teacher and a materials writer.
How did I get here? I started teaching EFL to children and adults in Madrid in 2013 and haven’t looked back since. I did an MA TESOL at UCL’s Institute of Education in 2015 and then moved to Munich, where I now teach adults of all levels. I’ve also learnt French, German and Spanish to high levels using different methods; I know what it’s like to learn a language and try to apply my learning and teaching experience to make fun, engaging and relevant materials which get students talking and motivate them on their learning journey.
What’s this website for? EFL Lessons is to share my work with you. If you do use my materials, thank you. I hope you enjoyed teaching with them and your students enjoyed learning with them; feedback is always welcome. If you like my work and perhaps want to collaborate on something in the future, send me an email or find me on LinkedIn.
Happy browsing!
